Stylish boutique Warby Parker is continuing to expand its presence in the Bay Area. After opening a location in San Francisco, the brand just recently opened its newest store in San Jose.
The brand’s location was chosen strategically by co-chief creative officer and co-founder David Gilboa. According to WWD, the “innovative spirit” from the Tech Museum of Innovation just around the corner will help attract and draw the appropriate crowd. The space will also be similar to its San Francisco flagship, including a library-inspired decor. The company, known for retail frames in various styles, will also sell books at its new boutique. The new location also serves as the brand’s fifth flagship in California.
The boutique-quality brand started out with a mission to offer designer eyewear at an affordable price. Also, ingrained in the company’s mission is keeping their glasses “socially conscious” by designing their products in-house and selling them at reasonable prices. The brand, which has opened over 20 stores at the moment, has continued expansion. Opening up their boutique in San Jose was simply the brand’s next move after already establishing a following in NorCal with their San Francisco location.
