Los Angeles - Solid State Studios, known for its custom-made shoes, has recently relocated in the U.S. Originally based in Chicago, the handmade label has officially made its move to come to Los Angeles.
In the past, Solid State Studios has made a name for itself in Los Angeles by retailing at trendy shops in the SoCal area. Lacausa is one of the locations that the brand has retailed at, where it has become a sold-out favorite, according to Racked LA. The publication also confirms that Solid State Studios will be moving its headquarters to Los Angeles. Founder of the brand Julio Chavez was originally from Chicago, so it made sense originally to base the custom-made brand there. However, the label has become more and more intertwined with Los Angeles fashion including past collaborations with local brands. Racked LA confirms that Chavez has signed a new lease located in Chinatown, where the retail space will neighbor with other local creatives and brands.
The opening date for the new space is not yet confirmed. However, currently Solid State Studios is still available online at its e-commerce site. The brand retails custom bags, shoes, accessories and more made of luxury fabrics. Using fine quality and excellent craftsmanship, Solid State offers custom leather-made fanny packs, slip-on shoes, custom-made boots, and more. Merchandise varies in price but averages around 200 dollars per pair.
