Skate brand Official comes to Melrose Avenue

As of today, skate-inspired brand Official opens its doors on Melrose Avenue. Serving as the brand’s first flagship on the popular fashion strip, the streetwear brand arrived fully stock with its new boutique.

The space, which spanned 800 square feet, reflects a simple, rustic aesthetic to compliment its streetwear clothing. In contrast with the store’s minimal design, the clothing compliments the store’s interior. Official is known for its snapbacks, sweaters, graphic tees, beanies and more. Prices for the brand range from approximately 18 to 49 dollars. The brand mixes vibrant colors with graphic designs and discrete logos in order to create that skate-infused feel. One of the brand's standout pieces include the "Official" NYC collection city hats including cities such as Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens and more.

Official, which was founded in 2007, is known for its collaborations with various streetwear fashion moguls. In the past, the company has collaborated with Snoop Dogg, Aaron Kai, and Laser Barcelona. The mix of emerging and established designs adds a local element to the brand by incorporating various styles and perspectives.
