Czech-based fashion brand Nehara is eyeing overseas markets for potential growth. The brand, which was relaunched at Paris Fashion Week in 2014, currently does 50 percent of their business in the Asian market. They are also looking for a retail client in Prague right now.
In the spirit of their heritage, the brand does most of their production in Slovakia. The brand is very young, with a turnover rate of 1.64 million dollars.
Bibiana Zdutova, managing director of the brand, told WWD that " “Our intention is to focus on the quality of production, delivering on time to final customers and most of all attracting the attention of buyers from the world’s 100 top multibrand and department stores.”
As of the present moment, the brand ships to 40 retailers on four continents, with a quarter of production shipped to Japan. Some of their accounts include Opening Ceremony in New York and Los Angeles, Harvey Nichols Hong Kong, and Blake in Chicago.
The brand's fall 2016 collection will be presented in Paris in March. Samuel Drira serves as creative director of the brand.
The brand has said they have no intention of opening a flagship store right now, but, rather, they would like to increase their number of accounts and showrooms. They also hope to recruit a celebrity as a sort of brand ambassador to boost their media profile.
They reportedly have some potential names in mind, although none of which have been revealed yet.
