Neiman Marcus, luxury retailer, recently paid tribute to Otis College by displaying the work of grad students on window display. The Beverly Hills location chose a select few from fashion grads of this year to showcase in their front window.

The art and design school, based in Los Angeles, linked about 25 of grad students with emerging and legendary designers. Designer Bob Mackie, rising designer Zaid Affas, and Liliana Casabal, owner of Morgane le Fay, worked with the students for the Otis annual fashion show. Neiman Marcus will keep the results from the show this week in their window display.

The chosen displays include outerwear, dresses, evening gowns, and more. Under Casabal’s direction, Otis College Art & Design grads came up with designs that include hi-low dresses that differ in color, texture, and asymmetry. Under Mackie’s vision, grad students worked to create “swoon-worthy” evening looks. The gowns included flare, various textual materials, and a mesh of colors. Affas encouraged the grads to come up with fall and winter looks.

Otis College was established in Los Angeles in 1918. Since then, it has served as the city’s first independent professional school of art and design. The college offers tactical training for aspiring artists and designers. The school is located in the Los Angeles Fashion District in downtown.
