Autism Speaks just announced that it will be celebrating its honorees at the inaugural La Vie En Blue Fashion Gala. The fashion event will be hosted September 29 and will honor Steven Grossman and Harry Topping, Jr.
Produced by Metropolitan Fashion Week, the event will take place at the end of the month in Burbank at Warner Bros. Studios. Both Grossman and Topping will be recognized for their support, leadership, and commitment to Autism Speaks. “[These] two fathers have been longtime champions of Autism Speaks’ mission,” said Suzette Martinez, executive director of Autism Speaks Southern California. The two are being awarded this honor due to their participation and work towards helping the Autism Speaks organization. “Despite their busy careers, Steven and Harry have tirelessly supported and fundraised for the Southern California chapter of Autism Speaks,” said Martinez.
The event serves as a major fundraising opportunity for the organization. Guests are able to bid on haute-couture gowns as well as special pieces to help benefit Autism Speaks in Southern California. The funds raised at the La Vie En Blue Fashion Gala will be put towards extensive research towards curing autism as well as treatments. The funds are also used to help families who struggle to support their loved ones with autism through necessary services. Ultimately, the inaugural gala serves as a fashion event with a good cause.
