Erin Wasson recently joined forces with PacSun in order to create a new collection. The collection launches on May 13th next month with 25 pieces.

The new collection has Americana and Western influences including bikinis and swimwear, denim, tops, and rompers. Inspired from Wasson’s own closet, the pieces largely reflect vintage styles and her hometown roots with an elevated chic twist. “At this juncture in the road, I’m very close to this customer, the younger girl who’s very hip to what’s going on,” said Wasson to WWD.

Having a Texas background gave Wasson heavy creative designs emphasizing a country lifestyle. Her collaboration with PacSun is entitled “Land of the Free” in an effort to also add patriotism to her line. Everything in the current line will be under 60 dollars in price to create an affordable chic line. The line will be available at 315 retail PacSun stores.

Gary Schoenfeld, PacSun’s CEO, told WWD, “...It’s an opportunity to bring in more customers that are in their 20s.” The company’s aiming for a target range in its consumer base around the ages of 17 to 24.

The last collection PacSun collaborated with a celebrity was with Kendall and Kylie Jenner in 2012 introducing Coachella-inspired apparel.
