Online designer boutique, Moda Operandi, the main
sponsor for the Costume Institute’s ‘Punk Chaos to Couture’ exhibition, has announced that it is to launch an exclusive punk-inspired collection.The line will feature more than 100 items, from apparel to accessories, one-of-a-kind customised pieces, and vintage fashion and art objects that all pay homage to punk, including new pieces by Balmain, Dolce & Gabbana, Eddie Borgo, Ek Thongprasert, Givenchy, House of Waris, Moschino, Prabal Gurung, Preen, Rodarte, Thom Browne, and Vivienne Westwood.
Commenting on the collection, co-founder of Moda Operandi, Lauren Santo Domingo, said: "We are thrilled to offer women the opportunity to capture the spirit of punk with pieces that balance high fashion and rebellion.”
The collection launches exclusively at ModaOperandi.com on May 2 with prices ranging from 100 to 13,000 dollars.
The ‘Punk Chaos to Couture’ exhibition takes place at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York from May 9 to August 14.
