Robertson Boulevard is highly regarded as a retail strip for high-end, luxury boutiques. This year however, the street lost Ralph Lauren as one of its popular tenants.
The strip houses various retailers and restaurants that make it a go-to spot for many Los Angeles locals. The retail stores that were on the street include Ted Baker, Tory Burch, Vince, BCBG Maxazria and more. The Ralph Lauren boutique first arrived on Robertson Boulevard in 2008. The space occupied 11,000 square feet. The windows, reported by Apparel News, were covered in paper with a note on the front door confirming that the shop had closed for good. The note engaged shoppers to redirect to the Ralph Lauren boutique on Rodeo Drive.
According to the publication, the store may be replaced with a new restaurant. Apparel News reported that a new “high profile Italian restaurant” from downtown Los Angeles might be moving to Robertson Boulevard. The source comes from Jay Luchs of NewmarkGrubbKnightFrank, a real estate firm for the street.
Ralph Lauren established itself as a brand 40 years ago redefining American style. Creating the perfect “polo,” the brand has become a traditional, timeless brand across the nation. The brand is headquartered in the United States in 1968. The company currently holds over 10,000 employees.
