• Study (in English) Fashion Design & Manufacture at Marbella Design Academy in sunny Spain and be awarded an official United Kingdom Bachelor of Arts degree in Fashion Design & Manufacture by our UK partner – University of Bedfordshire.
• Fee per academic year: 10.800Euros. The BA Validated programme in Fashion Design & Manufacture starts twice per year: In September and in January.
• September intakes (3 years of study): Three academic years beginning in September ending in June.
• January intakes (2,5 years of study): Three academic years: 1st academic year begin in January and ends in the beginning of August. 2nd and 3rd academic year begin in September ending in June.
• Upon successful completion you will be awarded a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) Degree, in Fashion Design & Manufacture by our UK partner, University of Bedfordshire.
• This three-year Bachelor of Arts validated Fashion Design & Manufacture programme offered to our students is developed, delivered and assessed by Marbella Design Academy and Validated by University of Bedfordshire.
• When awarded your undergraduate Bachelor of Arts degree by University of Bedfordshire, you can apply for a Master’s degree at any university of your choice.

The Bachelor of Arts validated Fashion Design & Manufacture programme offered at Marbella Design Academy is designed to accomplish high academic standards in an exciting exploration of the latest techniques and processes of the Fashion Industry.

We teach and encourage design creativity, originality and imagination combined with commercial business sense across most areas of Fashion. Ranging from street wear, sportswear, contemporary fashion, evening wear and “Pret-a-Porter”. We cover “A to Z” of this fantastic industry and we will guide each individual student through the different stages of structured formal education to final Graduation, and to even job application so that they are fully prepared to face their next challenge and their chosen proposed career path.

The Bachelor of Arts validated Fashion Design & Manufacture programme offered at Marbella Design Academy is designed to accomplish high academic standards in an exciting exploration of the latest contemporary techniques and processes of Fashion Design.

The first year of the programme will cover basic fundamental skills such as freehand drawing, CAD drawing techniques like Photoshop/ Illustrator/ InDesign to create essential Mood Boards; Fashion Market and Trend Analysis; Basic garment making techniques including “Block” making, simple pattern drafting and cutting and linked garment construction techniques.

The second year of study will build and progress your existing skills learnt in the first year with further exploration and development of the creative fashion design process covering more advanced pattern technology and garment creation, Fashion Marketing and Branding, Sustainability and linked Ethical Education, Portfolio presentation and other relevant industry projects.

The third year will provide opportunities for students to explore and apply their fashion skills and knowledge to a higher and more advanced professional level as well as receive a fuller and more comprehensive fashion business orientation with Marketing and Branding, Intellectual Property Rights. Focus on their Final Year Garment Collection and Graduation Show, Final Portfolio with professional “Look Book”, CV and Job Application techniques. Students gain hands-on experience through a minimum six-week work intern placement in a real-world environment which often leads to future work opportunities.

When you have graduated from Marbella Design Academy and you have been awarded a BA (Hons) Degree in Fashion Design & Manufacture by our partner University of Bedfordshire, you can apply for a Master’s Degree at any other university of your choice. The employment rate among our graduates is outstanding and nearly all enjoy a successful career within their chosen field.

You will also undertake a six week work placement programme, where you will experience the “Real world” of fashion and all the varied jobs available to you when you graduate.

General introduction to “Fashion in the Modern World” covering most areas of this lucrative and growing market and highlighting the possibilities of the many areas of possible work and practices available (3 weeks general + 2 weeks specific). This course gives you an excellent introduction to all aspects of being a professional fashion designer.

Ranging from fashion design, buying and merchandising, pattern cutting and technology, marketing, head office positions, PR and styling, and retail positions.

• An insight to how all these different roles operate within this ever changing world of fashion.
• Overview of each individual area, skill-set requirement type and required qualifications.
• Design creativity, originality and imagination combined with commercial business sense across most areas of fashion. Ranging from “Couture”/bespoke areas to “Pret-a Porter” to main stream High Street fashions and “branded” sectors.
• Introduction to the mechanics and technical side of this Industry. How garments are produced and sourced. Manufacturing and importing.

The different stages of structured formal education to graduation and job application

• Expectations of presentation work, portfolio structure to actual C.V. and interview techniques. Our courses are presented in a relaxed atmosphere where student involvement is encouraged, feedback is important, and the instructors are always available to answer any questions.
• The Intensive Course in Fashion Design is suitable to anyone who is interested in the basic knowledge in different subjects within the fashion industry prior to starting a further education in fashion design for them to become professional fashion designers.
• The students are welcome to bring a project of their own to be solved during the course.
